1,598 building permits were filed across greater Indianapolis in August 2026 — 760 of them new homes. Lennar pulled 91 of them.
Those are either the right numbers or they aren't, and they came from the same public records you can pull yourself. We'd rather be checkable than impressive. Anybody can claim they have construction data. Fewer can tell you what was in it last month without looking it up.
We've been running this continuously since March — six consecutive months of greater-Indianapolis permit records, every month reconciled against the issuing office's own count before it ships.
