Terms of Service
Last updated October 19, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Permit Reports LLC when you use permitreports.com, start a free trial, or subscribe. They are written in plain English on purpose. By starting a trial or subscribing, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
What you get
A subscription gives you a monthly Excel file and access to an online dashboard of public building-permit records for the Indianapolis area, for the report or reports you subscribe to (for example New Homes, Commercial, Remodel or Pool). What each report covers is described on our pricing page and coverage page. We may improve or change the reports and the dashboard over time.
The 7-day free trial
- The free trial lasts 7 days and no card is needed to start it.
- If you do not add a card, the trial turns off by itself on day 7 and you are never charged.
- If you add a card during the trial, your subscription continues after day 7 at the price shown when you signed up, unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- One free trial per email address.
Prices and billing
- Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. The price is the one shown at checkout, plus any sales tax that applies.
- Founding price: the first 10 members who subscribe monthly to a single report pay $99 a month, and that price stays the same for as long as they keep that subscription.
- We may change our list prices for future billing periods. If a change would affect you, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect.
- If a payment fails, we may pause your access until it is fixed.
Canceling
You can cancel at any time, either from the billing link in your account at app.permitreports.com, or by emailing noah@permitreports.com or calling or texting Noah at (317) 937-8162. When you cancel, you will not be charged again, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
The guarantee and refunds
Call 10 builders off your list. No real conversation in 30 days? Full refund. To use the guarantee, email or text Noah within 30 days of your first payment and you will get your money back, no argument. Outside the guarantee, payments are not refundable except where the law requires, but you can cancel any time so you are not charged again.
How you may use the reports
- Use the reports and dashboard for your own company’s business: finding jobs, prospecting, sales and planning.
- Do not resell, republish, or hand out the files or the dashboard to people outside your company, and do not share your login.
- When you contact anyone from a report, you are responsible for following the laws that apply to you, such as rules on calls, texts and email marketing.
- Do not try to break, overload, scrape, or get around the security of the site or the app.
Where the data comes from, and no warranty
The reports are compiled from public records filed with cities and counties. We do not control those records. They can contain mistakes, missing details, or late entries, and some offices publish later than others. We work to deliver the records as filed, but the reports, the dashboard and the website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, including any warranty that the data is complete, accurate, or fit for a particular purpose. Check anything important with the issuing office before you rely on it.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Permit Reports LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost jobs or lost data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending or suspending access
We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, does not pay, or misuses the service. If we end the service for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund any unused part of a period you already paid for.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top, and if a change is significant we will email current customers. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Hamilton County, Indiana, unless we agree otherwise. Before going to court, please contact us. Most problems can be fixed with a phone call.
