Hamilton County, Indiana building permits

By Noah Oetjen · October 14, 2026

There is no single Hamilton County permit office for the cities: Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville and Westfield each run their own building department, so you look a permit up with the city the address is in. In September 2026, 442 permits filed in those four cities made our monthly reports: 168 new homes, 165 remodels, 76 commercial and 33 pools.
